Process and heal from trauma with EMDR Therapy
If you’re carrying trauma, anxiety, or past experiences that still show up in your body or relationships, you’re not alone.
Most of us have trauma, and most of us have no idea how to process it.
EMDR helps your system process what’s been too overwhelming to hold on your own. We’ll move at a pace that’s right for you— so you can feel more steady, clear, and present in your daily life.
FAQs
What is EMDR therapy like? How does EMDR therapy work?
1
EMDR helps your brain and body reprocess overwhelming experiences so they no longer feel as sharp, intrusive, or activating. Using bilateral stimulation—like eye movements, taps, or tones back and forth—we’ll access your natural ability to heal and integrate what happened. We’ll prepare carefully, work slowly, and stay in close collaboration throughout the process. It’s evidence based and very effective.
What kinds of issues does EMDR help with?
2
EMDR can help you process trauma from childhood or adulthood, relational trauma, anxiety, panic, grief, medical trauma, and experiences your body still reacts to even when your mind says you should be “over it.” It’s also helpful when present-day triggers connect back to earlier experiences.
Is EMDR therapy right for me?
3
If you feel stuck in patterns that don’t match your current life, experience memories that still carry emotional charge, or notice your body reacting before you can think, EMDR may help. We’ll talk through your history and goals to make sure this approach feels like a good fit.
Can we use EMDR therapy with talk therapy?
4
Yes. EMDR works well with attachment-based and trauma-informed talk therapy. We can blend EMDR with relational work, meaning-making, or emotional processing as needed. You stay in control of the pace and direction.
